Where These Skills Could Take You

Wellbeing services, community teams and helplines all need steady people. The work is easy to picture. A first conversation, a referral, someone who feels heard for once.

Walking beside people who are working through it.

Wellbeing Programme Assistant

Helping run the sessions and keep people coming.

Community Mental Health Assistant

Supporting a team on the ground.

Intake and Referral Coordinator

The first call, and pointing people the right way.

Good to Know

Common Questions

Do I need any background in psychology?

No. It was built as a starting point for people with none.

What does it cost each week?

From $29 a week on a flexible plan, or pay upfront. Enquire to confirm current pricing.

How long does it take?

About 100 hours across eleven topics, with 6 months of access.

Will this make me a counsellor or psychologist?

It gives you the map of the field, cheaply and quickly. That is worth knowing before you spend years on it. It does not lead to registration. It is not approved by NZAC. Registering as a psychologist runs through an approved pathway and the Board. You get grounding, and a clear idea of whether to go further.

Can I use it toward a degree later?

Sometimes. Credit transfer is decided by the institution you apply to. Ask them first.

Are there exams?

None. Tutors support you by phone and email through business hours.

Is this course accredited?

It comes from an ICOES accredited centre. The centre holds Official Accreditation with the CPD Standards Office. That is accreditation for professional development. It is not NZQA accredited, so it is not a national qualification. Those are different things. For a first look at the field, that is fine.

What if I change my mind?

There is a 10-Day Money Back Guarantee from the day you enrol.
